After a morning of much needed rest and a phone chat with my older sister, we headed out to make a run to the Post Office then to play at the park.
We stopped at Quik Trip for food and a bathroom break. Toby and I had fun making faces at ourselves in the bathroom mirror while waiting for Zoe and Gideon.
We headed to Riverside Park in search of fun play equipment and splash areas.
Gideon was ready to help me push our picnic laden stroller.
Our hodge podge picnic on the green pyramids at the park.
Boys playing pirate ship.
Spinning 'round and 'round.
My climbing boy.
Unfortunately, the water features weren't on today so the kids improvised by using the shower to get wet.
Gideon's turn to get wet.
Even more climbing fun.
Even more spinning.
This afternoon we got an impromptu date with our favorite Jocelyn girl.
Jocelyn and Tobyn really like each other.
After we said goodbye to baby Jocelyn, we headed off to go swimming at Aunt Melanie's. Toby and I were waiting in the van while the others ran into QT for drinks. Caught him with his latest habit: paper eating.
Rockin' it poolside.
Love having my younger sister living so close! She was kind enough to invite us over to her pool.
Zoe loves to swim...even when the water is still very cold.
We enjoyed some Hideaway Pizza poolside.
Gideon is in love with the water.
Tobyn is in love with Rod's iced cappuccino.
We also got yummy fried mushrooms from Hideaway Pizza. It was delicious...but I'm so ready for some healthy food!
My partner for the pool.
He loves to splash!
The old song and dance of getting out of the pool to jump into the pool.
While today reminded us more of the Oklahoma summers we're used to, we made it to the pool as the sun was setting and the water was chilly. Shivering swimmers here.
Enough fun has been had.
So we finished off the day with some watermelon and headed home for bed.
