We've had a mostly relaxing day. Kids decided we should take another walk to the park today. The weather was beautiful so I couldn't say no. As we were leaving, we checked the mail and the kids were so excited that they each got a special card from MomMom and PopPop.
We enjoyed our walk to the park then settled down for a little snack before playing.
Gideon wanted me to read one of his library books to him.
My grown up boy trying to be little.
Asking me to spin him.
And then there was blood.
Gideon was playing with some kids in the tennis court area,
fell off of the net (they were sitting on it and bouncing) and banged his head up.
Thankful for t-shirts to stop bleeding.
My little boy who is obsessed with all things medical was a little freaked out at seeing his own blood.
He was brave, though, after the initial discovery.
Thankful that Rod works so close and came when I called him to pick us up.
It seems that it just scraped the scalp.
No other concussion type symptoms so far.
No other concussion type symptoms so far.
Watching him and he's got an ice pack on his head.
We went home to rest from our eventful afternoon.
Gideon picked "The Fox & the Hound" to watch in his convalescence.
Spontaneous plans for the evening: slushies and shopping.
We headed to Best Buy to pick out a laptop for me so that I can do Church Online anywhere we go.
We have a lot of travel planned for the summer so it will definitely come in handy!
After Best Buy, we took a trip into Ross where Zoe helped me pick out a new swimsuit.
As we left the fitting room, she told the attendant
"we're taking this one, the others just didn't look very good".
Thanks, sweetie.
Then we required some sustenance and the only option available was Smashburger.
Ah, such is life.
Hamburgers: thankful my boy felt well enough to want his favorite food.
Then we were off to pick up our guitar, keyboard, and ukulele and head to
for some worship and planning as we transition into a Lifechurch.tv network church.
Finished off the evening with the highlight of my week:
Church Online.
Love that I can be a missionary while still in my own home.
