Started the day off (late due to everyone being tired and in need of a slower morning) with our Konnect memory verse and point. We're also reading the Proverbs Power-Up reading plan that goes along with what they're learning about during Konnect on Sunday mornings.
Our first goal is to get our individual learning activities accomplished. Gideon chose to do two handwriting pages today.
Tobyn chills out with some toys while I help Zoe and Gideon with their activities.
Zoe loves to do her Khan Academy Math. Today she practiced multiplication and division word problems and learned about lines, line segments, and rays.
Gideon's favorite learning activity is Math. Just this week we launched forward and got him on Khan Academy as he really had already understood what they were teaching in the Math book he'd been using. Today he learned how to do 2-digit addition.
Zoe wrote out the couplet she'd composed for her English today.
Gideon enjoyed a little bike-riding break.
Toby had fun doing his Alphabet puzzle with me.
Toby loves doing ABCmouse.com. Such a great learning program!
Toby learned about the letter B today.
He is incredibly enthralled with the program.
Zoe and Gideon did a worksheet from The Human Body workbook for Science today. We're learning about the different systems of the body.
Toby requested a pony tail during Science time. Hair trimming is definitely in order.
We love doing History. I read to them from the book and they draw whatever they want that goes along with the section read.
Toby had fun on pbskids.org while we did History.
We learned about Ancient Chinese pictograms.
We also learned about Ancient Chinese farming.
Zoe loves learning about coding on Scratch.mit.edu.
We finished off our learning activities with a relaxing read.
After a much needed break, we got busy with our household responsibilities. Hopefully the new list I've made of what needs done and when will make our lives easier. Of course, in order to do so, you actually have to adhere to the list. Today was spent in catching up on laundry, dishes, dinner making and clutter clean up.
One of the best parts of the day is when they kids write in their journals. We've not been very consistent at it, but hopefully will do much better as we go on.
