We started off the morning with our Proverbs Power-Up reading plan and listing the differences between what happens to wise people and foolish people.

We started off with Individual Reading and Gideon chose another section of his DK Eyewitness Book "The Human Body." We learned about the heart.

Zoe started one of her new "Ivy + Bean" books that she got for Christmas. This series started her love of reading.

Zoe's handwriting pages for the day:

Toby had a relaxed morning of Castle Crashers.

Gideon working hard on his handwriting pages.

Zoe learned about composite numbers at Khan Academy and practiced identifying them.

Gideon learned about 1-digit multiplication at Khan Academy and practiced multiplication equations.

Zoe learned tips for good listening in her English.

Gideon did a tutorial about nouns for his English.

After finishing up our individual activities, we took Zoe to meet her friend. They were celebrating her most recent surgery with a viewing of "Frozen". Zoe loved getting to spend time with her friend and her mom.

After errands and a little bit of rest time, we picked Rod up from work and went on a mission at the fairgrounds. A new game he's found that involves conquering/controlling specific landmarks in the area. The kids are in love with it.

After a long day, we enjoyed some Duck Dynasty and take out before seeking the renewal of our beds.

So the kids learned how to read a map with the new game as well. There is a portal counter app that would help them figure out how many XMP burst it would take to destroy a portal if you wanted to throw in a little math as well
