For Bible, we started the "Family Matters" reading plan on the Bible app. The kids filled out their challenge cards for Konnect and then we practiced the verse and point.

Today we started a new thing where we will each think of 3 things we're grateful for every day.

After taking care of feeding the bunnies and making their own breakfast, we got down to our learning activities for the day. Toby started off playing with Legos.

Gideon chose to begin with Math and learned about place value: tens, addition practice, and reading graphs.

Zoe's first choice was Language. She wrote, proofread, and corrected a post for Facebook.

Tobyn moved on to coloring with the added difficulty of doing it while lying down: his choice, not mine.

Next Gideon chose to do his Language and played Starfall: It's Fun to Read! He did the Music session and read about and listened to music from these composers: Beethoven, Chopin, Joplin, Mozart, Offenbach, and Tchaikovsky. Tobyn loves watching and playing along with Gideon on his Starfall days.

Zoe chose to practice her keyboard next. She performed "Old MacDonald" and passed!

Then she moved on to start learning about the white keys and their names.

Then she went over her new song, "Batter Up!"

Next Zoe chose to do her Math and worked on her Multiplication.

Then Zoe chose to do her Handwriting: Pp.

Gideon chose to practice his keyboard. He tried performing his song, "Hand-Bells", and did a great job, but will work this week on performing and practicing without me counting/singing along with him.

Gideon chose to do his Handwriting next.

Zoe chose to practice her Musical Theatre next.

Zoe chose to read these books for Individual Reading.

Gideon chose to read this book for his Individual Reading.

After helping get lunch of leftover chili ready and eaten, we embarked on our walk for a little daily exercise. We spent about 27 minutes walking in our neighborhood, enjoying the lovely Fall weather and spotting all of the natural beauty around us.

We came home for some much needed rest. After blogging, Minecraft, some Little Einsteins and short naps, we got busy with our household responsibilities for the day.

This evening, we told the kids that they will get a new sibling in May of next year. They were so surprised and excited!

The kids finished off the night by writing in their online journals (Zoe's Big Blog and Gideon Jedi's Daily Blog) and reading more about Moses from The Action Bible.
