A 365 Learning Experience

As it is Wednesday, the kids started off with completing their Challenge Cards for Konnect+ tonight.

We read our Proverbs Power-Up reading plan and picked this verse to add to our "Wisdom Scroll".

Gideon had fun drawing on the back of his Challenge Card.

Zoe and Tobyn had fun playing with play-doh. 

Zoe made a play-doh mermaid. 

After breakfast and morning responsibilities, Tobyn got to break out his Christmas gift from our family in Colorado. 

Zoe started off with her English and a Cumulative Review. 

Tobyn made water-color monsters. 

Gideon started off with two handwriting pages.  

For English, Gideon did his last synonym matching worksheet. 

Gideon had fun practicing his ukulele skills. 

Zoe made another Scratch project. 

For Math, Zoe did more practice on multiplication and division word problems at Khan Academy. 

Tobyn had fun doing his next lesson on ABCMouse.com. 

Zoe chose a Mo Willems favorite for her Individual Reading. 

Gideon chose another section of his DK Eyewitness Book "The Human Body". We read about the inside of the brain for his Individual Reading. 

Gideon watched a video about subtraction with borrowing and then practiced on 3-digit numbers at Khan Academy.

While I made lunch, Zoe used her free time to start plans for the new story she's writing. 

During lunch, we watched MythBusters: "Torpedo Tastic" for our Science.

We settled in for the next to last chapter of "The Last Battle" by C.S. Lewis. Such beautiful imagery. 

In History, we learned about General Thutmose I and his daughter, Hatshepsut, who pretended to be a man in order to be a female Pharaoh. (and yes, pregnancy brain made this mother spell Pharaoh incorrectly)

We finished off our planned learning activities with Spanish: Common Phrases: Lesson Three.

We enjoyed a nice, long, relaxing break before spending less than an hour cleaning up the main rooms of the house for LifeGroup. Amazing how much we accomplish when everyone is focused and has specific jobs to complete. Of course, it ended up being wonderful to have a tidy house even as LifeGroup didn't end up happening tonight. 

Zoe was excited to try some new fashion ideas out at Konnect+ tonight.

All in all, a very good day. Finished off with our bedtime readings and now we recharge for tomorrow!
