Sunday Learning

We spent the morning at church: the kids in their individual classes. After a quick lunch at home, we headed out to take Zoe to a birthday party. While she was partying, we did some Ingress missions, picked up a few things at Atwoods, and then enjoyed some playing and hiking at Chandler Park.

Beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thankful for the gorgeous weather break this weekend. Not excited for a return to highs in the 20s tomorrow, but that will just make it all the easier to stay inside and do our learning activities.

Gideon's journal entry:

We started off with a nice, relaxing morning. Hooray for Saturday! We did a little clean up, enjoyed some Minecraft and Halo, and Gideon watched "Hook" with Aunt Meg. Finally around noon, we headed out for an Ingress mission. We picked up some snacks at QT and headed off to hack some portals.

We had fun exploring Woodward Park and enjoying the gorgeous weather. Oklahoma is going through a bipolar weather phase. Tobyn loved finding sticks and drawing in the dirt.

The kids loved climbing on all of the rocks.

We took some fun pictures while enjoying the beauty of Woodward Park.

Zoe gave Gideon some lessons on how to swing by himself.

We had a fun day outside while on our Ingress mission. Now for some rest and relaxation.

Gideon started off with some ukulele practice.

Gideon enjoyed playing a game identifying nouns for English.

He thought the dancing chicks were hilarious.

Zoe's Individual Reading choice:

We caught up on History from yesterday and today.

Gideon did a Mastery Challenge at Khan Academy.

Zoe learned about listening for the main idea in English.

Zoe did a Mastery Challenge at Khan Academy.

Toby had fun drawing some monsters.

Zoe and Gideon took a jumping jack and push-up break while waiting to start our Spanish review.

We finished off with our last chapter of "The Last Battle" by C.S. Lewis and completed The Chronicles of Narnia series. What a beautiful story. I'm glad they seemed to enjoy it as much as I did.

Aunt Meg came over in the evening and Gideon had fun playing Halo with her.

Rod changed his plans and stayed home for the weekend. Tobyn has been missing him this week. Wrestling time.

The kids went on a late night Ingress mission with Rod. They had a blast!
