Monday, Monday

After a late night of Super Bowl partying, we all needed a slower start for Monday. Gideon relaxed downstairs with some MythBusters while Tobyn did his ABCMouse lesson for the day while I made breakfast.

Tobyn learned about Letter F.

We awakened the Zoe and enjoyed our oatmeal and egg breakfast before centering ourselves with a little Proverbs. We picked this verse to add to our "Wisdom Scroll". Definitely a thought we all need....especially on Mondays.

We practiced Tobyn's Ark memory verse, Psalm 119:105, with him and then worked on Zoe and Gideon's Konnect Verse and Point with them.

The kids enjoyed coloring and drawing while I read our Proverbs reading to them.

Zoe designed a dress for her barbie.

Gideon started work on a wrestling suit for Ken, a scary mask, and ideas for Halo 6.

Toby had fun playing "Clues, Clues" with himself.

Gideon worked on identifying nouns for English.

Zoe learned more about the Dictionary in her English.

Gideon chose to do two Handwriting pages today and practiced writing 'r' and 'n'.

Zoe wrote a paragraph for her Handwriting.

Zoe chose some of her favorite books for Individual Reading.

Gideon chose to read another section of his DK Eyewitness Book "The Human Body" for his Individual Reading.

Gideon learned about multiplying by multiples of 10 and practiced different equations at Khan Academy.

Zoe had fun making some new projects on Scratch.

Zoe learned about and practiced making angles at Khan Academy.

We had a nice picnic lunch downstairs and watched some MythBusters for Science.

We read more about the Phoenicians today in History and about the founding of the city of Carthage.

For Spanish today, we practiced Basics 1 and did much better this time!

We finished off our planned learning activities with Group Reading. We started "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum and read the first chapter today.

The kids enjoyed some screen time while I got some much needed rest. After Rod came home, he and Zoe had some one-on-one time doing an Ingress Mission.

The boys and I did some clean up while they were gone. When they returned, we enjoyed some dinner and "Cutthroat Kitchen". Zoe told stories and sang to the boys as they all fell asleep. All in all, a good day for a "Monday".
