Fall Family Funday

Halloween is a big deal to our oldest daughter, Zoe. However, this year we have plans on Halloween night so we decided to let her design a fun family day for us: yummy food, candy, dressing up, and our favorite "spooky" movies.

For our lunch menu, she chose Jack-O-Lantern sliders
which I paired with sweet potato fries and corn on the cob.

While food was being prepared, Rod built a tent in the living room.
We settled in to eat our lunch while watching "Igor".

While working on our costumes, we opened up our candy stash for the day.

Zoe's costume idea for the family: zombies. We had fun working
together with things we had around the house.

Tobyn didn't care to join in on the zombie fun
and was content to scarf down candy.

We continued the fun in our tent by watching
another favorite: "Coraline".

For dinner, we made mummy dogs and
popcorn to watch with our last movie:
"The Corpse Bride".

To end our evening, Rod started our first fire in the fireplace for the season

and we all spent the night camping out in the living room.
